Embed cyber risk at the start of strategy development for more effective management of information and technology risks.Role SummaryThe DAM L2 Analyst is responsible for advanced monitoring, analysis, and tuning of database security controls using Imperva DAM. The role focuses on incident investigation, policy optimization, compliance reporting, and reducing false positives while ensuring database security and regulatory adherence. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and investigate database security alerts generated by Imperva DAMPerform L2 analysis of suspicious database activities and policy violationsTune Imperva DAM policies, rules, and alerts to improve detection accuracyHandle escalations from DAM L1 and coordinate with DBAs, SOC, and IR teamsAnalyze database access patterns, privileged user activity, and anomaliesSupport onboarding of new databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)Assist in compliance monitoring and reporting (PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001)Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend remediation actionsMaintain SOPs, runbooks, and incident documentationSupport audits and regulatory reviews related to database securityTechnical Skills RequiredHands-on experience with Imperva DAMStrong understanding of:Database security concepts and access controlsSQL queries and database activity analysisPrivileged access monitoringExperience with databases:Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL (any)Familiarity with:SIEM integration (QRadar, Splunk, ArcSight, etc.)SOC operations and incident response lifecycleMITRE ATT&CK (relevant to data access techniques)Experience & Qualifications4+ years of experience in DAM, SOC, or database security rolesExperience working with DBAs and application teamsStrong analytical and communication skills Desired qualificationsEducation B.
