Job Role: Planning EngineerLocation: Dubai UAENote: looking for someone willing to relocate to UAE Role summaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules for infrastructure and civil construction projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, and related works. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, and coordination with site and commercial teams to ensure timely project delivery.QualificationsBachelor’s degree/ Pg/ Diploma in civil engineering (certified from NICMAR University)2 – 6 years of experience in infrastructure / civil construction projectsTechnical SkillsPrimavera P6MS ProjectAdvanced MS ExcelUnderstanding of construction sequencing and methodologiesKnowledge of EOT and delay analysis techniquesKey ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & SchedulingPrepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.Develop baseline programs, resource-loaded schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS).Define project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.Progress Monitoring & ReportingTrack daily/weekly/monthly progress against the baseline schedule.Conduct delay analysis and identify potential risks affecting timelines.Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and S-curve analysis for management review.Resource & Cost CoordinationAssist in resource planning including manpower, equipment, and materials.Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely mobilization.Support cost control teams with time-impact analysis and forecasting.Risk & Delay ManagementAnalyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.Prepare recovery programs when required.Assist in preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims with proper documentation.Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with project managers, consultants, and contractors regarding schedule updates.Attend progress review meetings and present planning updates.Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
