Established in 2020 as a greenfield venture of the Tata Group, the company aims to serve global customers through integrated offerings across a trusted electronics and semiconductor value chain.Roles & ResponsibilitiesOversee technical planning and launching of SMT production lines for projects.Engineering liaison between customers and internal teams to analyze RFQs, provide DFM input, estimate requirements, and achieve quality, cost, and timeline objectivesManage process mapping, equipment readiness, material prep, and initial builds, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver operational lines that meet customer needsLead cross-department teams for equipment, layout, materials, and production; run progress meetingsAct as technical lead during RFQs and design, provide DFM input, feasibility checks, and build updatesSpot risks early, apply mitigation, track milestones, and solve problems using root cause analysisKeep accurate engineering records and regularly update stakeholders, sharing improvementsMust-Have SkillsSkilled in SMT assembly and PCB manufacturing, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and AOIExperienced in NPI, from new line setup (equipment selection, layout, process qualification) to production readinessProficient in DFX principles for manufacturability and testability feedbackKnowledgeable in lean methods (5S, Six Sigma), supply chain basics, and electronics quality standards (IPC-A-610) and testing requirementsDomain expertise in EMS or high-volume electronics productionWillingness to travel for customer meetings or supplier visits as neededAbility to coordinate with global teams across time zones when requiredWhy Join Us?At Tata Electronics, you’ll be part of a team that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
