In Jan 2023, we raised Series A2 Funding of $10million from Accel and Celesta Capital.About the RoleThe Quantity Surveyor will be tasked with the responsibility of owning the cost of the project, preparing & analyzing existing budgets for projects, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, preparing various construction plans and packages across different cities, making improvements in existing costing processes, discussing with various contractors and vendors in understanding the current market rates, both material and laborRoles & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for estimating the cost of construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipmentCreate budgets and track expenses throughout the project, ensuring that costs are kept within the agreed-upon limitsAbility to read, analyse both Structural and architectural and give valid feedbackIdentify and manage potential risks that could impact the project's cost, schedule, or quality. They will implement strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure that the project stays on trackEvaluate ways to increase the value of the project without increasing costs. This may include suggesting alternative materials or construction methods that can reduce costs without compromising qualityReviewing construction plans and preparing quantity take off, and updating the data as the design revisions are madeGeneral QS requirements, including but not limited to - Rate analysis for various construction activities with proper knowledge of coefficients used as per industry standardsPreparation of BBS Reconciliation of various A-class material, including preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documentsAdvising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringA minimum of 2 year of experienceConstruction estimating or finance experience is advantageousStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsSound knowledge of constructionExcellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
