JOB TITLE: Exhaust System AVL CFD Engineer – Clean Air Location: Pune Experience: 5-8 yrsJob Description: POSITION SUMMARY In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing engine aftertreatment system CFD improvement opportunities that support the Clean Air business globally. You will be majorly responsible for carrying urea injection simulation using AVL as a tool. As a CFD Analyst, you will collaborate closely with regional and global engineering, design, FEA and testing teams along with optimization to initial results you are expected to provide solutions to various types of SCR problem. You are expected to work on pre-processing of raw CAD data, setup with calculation and preparing reports with optimization suggestions until target is achieved. You will also act as the subject matter expert for CFD programs within your assigned region. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about using CFD as a tool to solve real-world problems and drive measurable business impact. EDUCATION: B. Tech / B.E (Mechanical) / M. Tech/ M.E(Mechanical/Automotive) Requirements: ▪ Mandatory:AVL FIRE, Demonstrate through knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer, engine aftertreatment system CFD, Urea injection spray CFD ▪ Good to have:Space-claim, StarCCM+Responsibilities: Perform preprocessing, solver and post-processing within AVL. Perform CFD simulations using AVL with best practices for accurate computational efficiency. Should be able to perform post processing, result analysis, discussion with designers and detailed report preparation. Find root cause and provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality. Interacting with the design teams and testing teams for executing the CFD analysis of exhaust system components and suggesting countermeasures. Good Understanding of CFD 3D Flow, Thermal, Porous Modeling and DPM modeling. Able to interact with cross-functional teams. Good written and verbal communication skills. Develop process improvements and standard work practices for operational efficiency.
