Position: SAS Senior Developer – SAS to Microsoft Fabric MigrationLocation: Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad/RemoteDuration: Full timeNotice period: Immediate joiner only/Currently serving notice with less than 30 days/Notice is less than 30 daysSAS Senior Developer – SAS to Microsoft Fabric MigrationRole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior SAS Developer to support the migration of SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) data, jobs, and workflows to the Microsoft Fabric platform. The candidate will work closely with the Architecture and Onshore teams to execute migration activities and build scalable data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.Key ResponsibilitiesMigration ExecutionAnalyze existing SAS Enterprise Guide programs, datasets, and workflows.Support migration of SAS EG jobs, macros, and stored processes into Microsoft Fabric pipelines.Convert SAS-based transformations into Fabric-native data engineering solutions.Development & ImplementationDevelop and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, OneLake, and Synapse.Perform data ingestion, transformation, and validation activities during migration.Optimize migrated workloads for performance and efficiency.Data Validation & SupportWork with business and BI teams to validate migrated datasets and reports.Troubleshoot migration and data quality issues.Ensure consistency between SAS outputs and Fabric implementations.Governance & Best PracticesFollow defined data governance, security, and compliance standards.Support data lineage and documentation activities within Fabric.Assist in monitoring and maintaining migrated workloads.CollaborationCollaborate with onshore architects, data engineers, and BI teams.Provide technical support during migration and stabilization phases.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Base, and SAS programming.Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms.Good understanding of ETL/ELT and data migration processes.Strong SQL skills.Experience with Python or PySpark is an added advantage.Exposure to Azure ecosystem preferred.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting SAS migration to cloud platforms.Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Power BI.Understanding of data modelling and performance optimization.
