Job Description

At Pronto, we’re looking for a Senior Legal Counsel/Director Legal who can partner closely with the business and ensure we scale fast, safely, and compliantly, especially across a large blue-collar/frontline workforce.Roles & Responsibilities:Commercial & Business LegalReview and assess legal risks involved in business transactions and commercial arrangements.Structure, negotiate, draft, and execute all types of agreements including vendor, staffing, service, employment, and partnership contracts.Support business expansion through legal due diligence and risk mitigation aligned with operational realities.Labour Laws & Workforce Compliance (Critical)Provide legal guidance on laws and regulations applicable to blue-collar, contractual, and gig workforce models.Ensure compliance with labour laws including CLRA, Shops & Establishments, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, POSH, and other applicable statutes.Draft, review, and implement workforce-related policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.Litigation & Dispute ManagementReview existing legal cases, disputes, and notices and drive resolution strategies.Draft and review legal notices, claims, petitions, replies, and representations.Manage litigation through coordination with external counsel and track outcomes and risks.Regulatory & Government LiaisonLiaise with government authorities, regulators, and statutory bodies as required.Handle inspections, notices, and regulatory communications with a solution-oriented approach.Stay updated on changes in legislation and proactively advise stakeholders on impact and actions.IP & Corporate MattersCoordinate filing and management of trademarks and copyrights through third-party consultants.Support corporate governance requirements, documentation, and internal legal hygiene.Risk Advisory & Stakeholder ManagementApply effective risk management techniques and provide proactive legal advice to leadership.Communicate and negotiate with external parties including regulators, consultants, and public authorities.Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders while maintaining clarity and control.What We’re Looking ForStrong experience of 9-12 years in labour laws and compliance, especially for blue-collar/frontline workforce environmentsProven capability in contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute managementAbility to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving businessPractical, business-first mindset with strong legal judgmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsIf you're interested, you can write to as well.
