Job Description

Position Name: Engineering leader for Industrial AutomationPosition Overview:The Engineering Leader will be responsible for driving innovation, strategy, and execution within the Industrial Automation accounts. The individual will lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver cutting-edge automation solutions, foster technology adoption across industries and enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in industrial automation, robotics, IIOT, and digital transformation.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and deployment of advanced industrial automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and IIoT platforms such that it aligns with customer goals.Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their requirements, addressing their challenges, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customized digital solutions.Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of engagements, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Apply project management methodologies and best practices to achieve project objectives.Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and technology partners, to gather requirements, address challenges, and ensure successful deployment of digital solutions.Leadership: Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their applicability for the industry. Promote adoption of AI/ML, cloud, and edge technologies for predictive maintenance and smart manufacturing. Training & Support: Ensure that training programs developed for the team covers both tactical and strategic (long term) goals aligned with each account, and hence ensure effective utilization of digital tools.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or related fields). Advanced degrees or certifications in digital transformation or project management are plus.Experience: Minimum of 20+ years of experience in industrial automation, IIOT or related fields. Proven expertise in designing and implementing automation systems in manufacturing or process industries.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of industrial automation tools and technologies (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider). Knowledge of IIOT platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT, PTC Thing Worx).Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams and applying methodologies such as Agile or Safe or managed services model of delivery for support projects.Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and process improvementsCommunication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.Travel: Willingness to travel to customer locations, including local and other cities within India, as required.
