Founded by Earthshot Prize-winning climate entrepreneurs, Soul Forest aims to scale this model to 100,000 acres globally in the next decade.As we prepare to scale, we are strengthening our Finance & Compliance backbone to be “always audit-ready” and “scale-ready”.What’s the Role?As Senior Manager – Finance, Accounts and Compliance at Soul Forest, you will own end-to-end accounting, tax, and compliance across our group entities. You will work deeply with organisational data to ensure zero non-compliance, robust documentation, and clean, investor-ready books.You will coordinate closely with auditors and external consultants, review and refine legal and tax-related documents, and build systems that make the organisation ready for scale—across finance, tax, and regulatory requirements. This is a rounded finance leadership role for someone who wants to be both hands-on and strategic.What You’ll DoOwn end-to-end accounts for all entities – bookkeeping, ledgers scrutiny, reconciliations, monthly closing, and finalisation of financial statements.Run tax and statutory compliances – Income tax (TDS, advance tax, returns, tax audit), basic GST coordination, and ensuring all filings are on time.Coordinate with auditors and consultants – be the single point of contact for statutory auditors, tax advisors, and compliance/legal consultants; close audits and queries on time.Review finance-related legal documents – contracts, leases, JV agreements, loan docs, and commercial agreements from a finance, tax, and compliance lens.Manage Treasury and MIS functions – oversee banking operations, cash flow planning, treasury management, and prepare timely MIS, budgets, and management reports.Build a clean compliance backbone – maintain trackers, registers, and a data room so the organisation is always due-diligence-ready with zero slippage.Strengthen systems and controls – set up simple, robust processes for approvals, documentation, and reporting to support scale-up.Who We’re Looking ForQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) only — this is a mandatory requirement.Minimum 5 years of post-qualification, industry experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization, with demonstrated exposure to managing end-to-end finance operations.Proven experience in leading and running a finance function or finance team, including delegation, review, and ownership of outcomes.Strong, hands-on experience in accounting and finalisation of books for companies and LLPs, with deep expertise in MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Solid working knowledge of income tax (including TDS, returns, and tax audits) and working exposure to GST and other regulatory compliances (coordination through consultants is acceptable).Prior experience working closely with statutory auditors, tax advisors, legal and compliance consultants, and taking ownership of timely closures and submissions.Working knowledge of business and commercial laws including reviewing agreements and understanding legal implications from a finance perspective.Who Should Skip ThisThis role is probably not for you if:You prefer narrow or siloed accounting roles and are not interested in handling end-to-end finance operations, including compliances, documentation, and legal–finance interfaces.You have limited experience across the full finance lifecycle and have only worked on specific or support areas within a finance team without overall ownership.You are uncomfortable taking ownership and being accountable for “nothing slips” on compliances.You dislike working with auditors, consultants, or legal teams and avoid detailed documentation.You’re not actively updating yourself on changes in tax and accounting standards.Why Work With Us?Be the Backbone: You will build and own the finance & compliance backbone of a pioneering, nature-led organisation.Scale with Purpose: Work at the intersection of finance, law, and climate action.High Exposure: Get direct exposure to founders, investors, advisors, and multi-entity structuring.Growth & Learning: Opportunity to grow as the organisation scales.Application Deadline: 13 th March, 2026 Soul Forest is an equal opportunity employer.
