This position supports in development of Low voltage Connectors.RESPONSIBILITIESUse best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to support a multiple products, services or processes.Providing technical expertise on current production systems; designing advanced solutions to continuously improve performance.Working with designers to optimize manufacturing processes and technology while preserving product design functionality.Eliminating inefficiencies and incorporating best practices to continually improve overall product performance.Evaluating the quality of manufactured products-First article Inspection reportCarry out/execute design change requests (Engg Change management).Coordinating & resolving technical issues and Root Cause AnalysesExecute VAVE / cost out assignmentsEDUCATION & CRITICAL EXPERIENCEB.E / B. Tech : Generally, 4+ years of experience in supporting Development / Product Engineering activities.ME/MTech - Generally, 2+ years of experience in supporting Development / Product Engineering activities.COMPETENCIES FUNCTIONAL: Mandatory:Working knowledge of CAD systems (CREO Part modeling & Sheet Metal)Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/product printsInterpretation of simulation results & translating into product designWorking knowledge in Design for Manufacturability (DFM-Molding / Stamping / Plating)& DFMEA Working knowledge in Tolerance stack-up and GD&TGood Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills Working knowledge of product design (Processes, Approaches, Tools and Techniques) & ValidationWorking knowledge in prototyping methodsWorking knowledge of product life cycle, ability to perform design activity & produce deliverables.Experience in product/ material testingKnowledge of quality tools ( 8D, Why Why analysis, Fish bone….)Working knowledge of designing with Plastics & Sheet Metal componentsExperience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), demonstrated extensive experience in Methodical / structured approach to execute the plan.Good Knowledge on Cycle time reduction & Process ImprovementBasic knowledge about, Scoop proofing, Stubbing will be an added advantagePreferred:Ability to train others on Product design / Engineering ToolsStrong knowledge on Plastics & Sheet Metal componentsAbility to understand specification for validation as per US CAR / LV 214 / Similar SpecificationKnowledge about the crimping technologies.Excellent Communication and Presentation skillsBasic Knowledge of GPS & MBD is an added advantageShould Collaborate effectively across multi-cultural groupsExperience in VAVE Projects ExecutionBasic knowledge on measurement instruments / methods / validationsMOTIVATIONAL/CULTURAL FITInnovation demeanor Problem solvingPassion for technologyTalent developmentResults drivenClear and concise communication
