The Buying role will be responsible for planning, selecting, and managing product ranges that align with the business objectives. The role requires a strong commercial acumen and an eye for market trends to deliver a compelling product offering that drives sales, maximizes profitability, and meets customer expectationsKey Deliverables (Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Job):Develop Product Assortment plan aligned with Customer Insights & Department Strategy.Ensure Optimal Width and depth of Product Range across Categories, sizes, Price Points etc.Product selection from Marks and Spencer global catalogue that captures trend, volume and key drivers. Local product development to address local requirements & gaps in the offer.Deliver Sales, Intake Margin, Stock Cover and Availability Targets.Balance and maintain Core and Fashion offering.Manage lifecycle of Products including in-season actions: Timely Launch, Store Allocation Plan, Sell Thru, Markdown and Phase out.Work with Historical data, Trends and season learnings to be able to generate analysis that supports Buying decisions.Identify assortment Gaps and New opportunities. Track Consumer Trend, Market Shifts and Pricing Changes. Work closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Planning, Visual Merchandising and all Trading Channels.
