We stand at the intersection of global expertise and local excellence, enabling us to drive innovation and support our larger purpose of unlocking the power of nature to enrich quality of life.Title: IBM Power Systems (AS400) EngineerOrganization: IT Infrastructure & OperationsLocation: India HubJob Responsibilities:Design and implement innovative AS/400 engineering solutions that integrate seamlessly into larger systems and align with organizational standardsDevelop strategies and roadmaps in close collaboration with cross-functional architecture teams to drive continuous improvement of AS/400 platformsCollaborate with technical teams to identify, test, and deploy monitoring / automation tools to enhance the performance / reliability of AS/400 systemsAssist in planning and execution of migration strategies to support uninterrupted transition from legacy AS/400 systems to modern platformsProvide technical expertise for risk assessments, business continuity planning, and compliance with regulatory requirementsAnalyze requirements for incoming requests, producing deliverables that are clearly defined and agreed upon with stakeholdersCollaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to propose and implement new solutions and continuous improvement initiativesConduct technical reviews of change requests and designs created by other teams, aligning with organizational goals and standardsMaintain and support IBM AS/400 systems, including OS/400 operating systems, promoting high availability and optimal performanceImplement and maintain security controls in compliance with audit, regulatory, and data retention requirements, as well as organizational policiesJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred 5+ years of experience working with IBM AS/400 systems, including iSeries, OS/400, and CL programmingProficiency in RPG, COBOL, and DB2 databasesExpertise in legacy networking protocols, integration with storage and backup systemsBroad knowledge of infrastructure and networking systems, mainframe platforms, and cloud and middleware capabilities including private and public cloud environments Experience in creating strategic technology roadmaps and detailed solution designs Strong ability to perform requirements analysis and develop holistic solutions designsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsCommitment to continuous personal development, keeping skills up to dateExcited about this role but do not think you meet every requirement listed?
