Job Description:The Structural Repair Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely return-to-service of commercial aircraft by delivering optimal structural repair solutions that meet airworthiness standards, minimize maintenance costs, and uphold safety. This role involves design and/or stress analysis, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities: Repair Assessment & Solution DevelopmentAssess damage scenarios using appropriate inputs and aircraft configuration drawingsPerform hand calculations and/or computer-based analysisPropose and evaluate structural repair solutions considering time, cost, and safetyUtilize existing technical and airworthiness delegations to develop approved repairs for aerostructures (Pylon / NCF/ FAF/ Highlift/ RFE)Stakeholder CollaborationLiaise with cross-functional teams including Design, Stress/Fatigue, Materials, and PerformanceCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure complianceDocumentation & ApprovalPrepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress)Secure necessary approvals for repair solutionsRespond to customer technical queries related to repairsFleet Standards & Data AnalysisPropose standard repairs for fleet-wide updates to SRM, ISB, etc.Analyse in-service data to initiate corrective actions and follow-upsEnsure compliance with KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD)Continuous Improvement & PM SupportIdentify and support local business improvement initiativesEnsure timely response, effective monitoring, and reportingRequired Skills & Expertise:Strong foundation in structural design and/or stress analysis (including F&DT)Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressureFlexibility to operate in a multicultural, international environmentPassion for solving real-world in-service aircraft structural issuesIdeal Candidate Attributes:Excellent communication and influencing skillsProactive mindset with a drive for continuous learningStrong interpersonal skills to foster collective problem-solvingOwnership and clarity in defining contributions to team goalsCareer Path: Candidates selected for this position will pursue a career path leading to be a Technical Signatory.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
