SAP TechnologyAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Specialist with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP Cloud technologies to manage and maintain the technical foundation of our global SAP landscape.This role focuses on SAP Basis administration, SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (TMS), upgrades, patching, security compliance, and SAP cloud integration across RISE with SAP and Public Cloud environments.The SAP Basis Specialist will ensure SAP system stability, performance, security, and high availability, while working closely with infrastructure teams, SAP functional consultants, development teams, and external SAP vendors to deliver a secure, scalable, and high-performing SAP platform.Key ResponsibilitiesSAP Basis Administration• Perform hands-on SAP Basis administration across SAP S/4HANA, SAP GTS, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP Cloud platforms. • Monitor platform availability and resolve issues related to ABAP stack, system logs, interfaces, background jobs, batch processing, spool updates, and lock entries. • Ensure high system availability, operational stability, and performance across the SAP landscape.System Monitoring & Performance Optimization• Monitor SAP system performance, including work processes, memory utilization, CPU, I/O, database performance, and SAP HANA environments. • Perform proactive performance tuning at both database and application layers. • Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting SAP performance and system availability.SAP Landscape & Transport Management• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS) across Development, QA, and Production environments. • Plan and deliver system refreshes, client copies, and system landscape synchronisation activities. • Maintain consistent SAP environment configuration and governance.SAP Maintenance & UpgradesPlan and schedule SAP maintenance activities including: • Support Packs • Enhancement Packs • Kernel updates • SAP patching and version upgrades• Work closely with the RISE with SAP operations team for infrastructure updates and system maintenance.SAP Security & Compliance • Ensure compliance with SAP Security standards and IT General Controls (ITGC). • Support user provisioning, roles and authorizations, and SAP technical security operations. • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX, ISO, and IT governance frameworks.Collaboration & SAP Project Support• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for connectivity, firewall configuration, and system performance. • Work with project managers, SAP functional consultants, and SAP development teams to define technical scope and timelines. • Provide technical guidance for SAP issue resolution and continuous platform improvement.Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery• Support implementation and testing of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity (BCP) strategies for SAP systems. • Ensure SAP platforms remain resilient, recoverable, and compliant with enterprise continuity standards.Documentation & Communication • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. • Communicate system risks, technical updates, and operational changes with both technical teams and business stakeholders.Impact of the Role • Ensures stability, security, and high performance of SAP platforms. • Minimizes operational downtime through strong SAP Basis monitoring and governance. • Supports successful delivery of SAP upgrades, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives.Key Accountabilities • SAP platform availability, performance, and resilience. • Execution of SAP Basis Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration. • 3+ years experience with SAP Cloud technologies and architecture.Skills & Experience• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA database administration, and SAP NetWeaver. • Experience managing complex SAP landscapes across multiple environments. • Experience integrating SAP with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP Ariba. • Experience with SAP communication frameworks including: • Data Replication Framework (DRF) • IDOC Monitoring • Web Service Monitoring• Expertise in transport management, system refreshes, troubleshooting, and SAP performance tuning. • Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, roles & authorizations, upgrades, patching, and middleware integrations. • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex SAP technical issues. • Ability to
