Location - Open to locations across PAN IndiaAbout the roleThe candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the category plans for the assigned high value/high complexity and high risk category/categories (for example – Application Development and Application Maintenance (ADAM), Technology, Professional Services and Business Process Outsourcing, and Contingent Labor). This role also leads the contractual and commercial negotiations with third parties on medium complexity/medium risk transactions and supports the negotiations on high value/high complexity/high risk transactions for the assigned category/categories.ResponsibilitiesDriving a competitive commercial edge in contractual arrangements with suppliersDelivering on annual procurement savings targetsClearly defining and managing the recharge mechanismsSupports the development of the category strategies and annual category plans for assigned high value/high complexity/high risk category/categories (Technology, Application Development and Application Maintenance (ADAM), Professional Services and Business Process Outsourcing, and Contingent Labor)Analyzes and prepares reports on the supply market for products/services within assigned categoriesAnalyzes and prepares reports on key stakeholder needs and prioritiesResearches innovative or emerging procurement processesResearches and consolidates procurement activities, and identifies potential opportunities and risksSupports stakeholder demand planning and reporting activities for assigned category/categoriesModifies category plans based on any unforeseen circumstances/ new stakeholder requirements identifiedSupports the execution and delivery of approved category plans for assigned category/categoriesAnalyzes and monitors buying channel options to ensure that the right, value-added channels are used for the different types of spendRecommends supplier segmentation based on optimal alignment with business requirementsMonitors and updates preferred supplier listsMonitors plans and resolves issues or escalates to the Senior Manager, Global ProcurementLeads all aspects of the sourcing and contractual and commercial negotiations with third parties for assigned requestsGathers detailed requirementsDevelops sourcing strategies and obtains approval from the appropriate governance forumsEstablishes supplier selection criteria, metrics and measures based on business needsPartners with stakeholders to source and select suppliersProvides the analysis and response to the commercial proposal from suppliersNegotiates contractual terms and conditions, detailed statements of work, pricing, service levels, and executes agreementsEngages subject matter experts and/or individuals who can best influence the outcome of supplier negotiationsAddresses the requirements of the various stakeholders, balancing the business need, the commercial value and risk mitigationDelivers on annual procurement savings targetsSupports the Senior Manager, Global Procurement in the sourcing, contractual and commercial negotiation activities with third parties for high risk transactions within assigned category/categoriesProvides ongoing support for procurement activities for assigned category/categoriesEnsures Global Procurement systems, and the data contained therein, are accurate and current at all timesEscalates risk and stakeholder issues in a timely and proactive mannerAssists in negotiations with products/servicesProvides advice and counsel on procurement services provided by Global ProcurementProvides advice and counsel to Buyers in Global Procurement Operational Sourcing on how to operationalize and execute against the Category StrategyParticipates in Global Procurement’s continuous improvement program by identifying opportunities to improve effectiveness and/or better align to stakeholder needsMaintains subject matter expertise in assigned category/categoriesResearches latest trends and best practicesMonitors relevant legislation and regulatory requirementsParticipates in internal and external forums to build capability, establish a network of experts, Identify emerging trends and best practices for potential implementationQualificationsEducation and Training: University/ College 4Yrs Law background preferredCertified Procurement professional qualifications are desirable.
