Project Research Assistant – KCG Research Fellowship Project (RFS735)Parul University is inviting applications for Research Staff Positions under the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) Research Fellowship Project titled:“Development of Financially Viable and Sustainable Business Models for Standalone Microgrids in the Commercial Sector.”Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Project Duration: 1 Year (until 31 January 2027)Eligibility CriteriaCandidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:• M.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems / Energy Technology / relevant branches (Final year or completed)OR• MBA with specialization in Finance / Energy Economics / SustainabilityPreferred Skills• Working knowledge of MS Excel and financial modelling tools• Familiarity with energy simulation software such as HOMER Pro, RETScreen, ETAP, or MATLABKey Responsibilities• Conduct literature review on standalone microgrid business models• Design and conduct field surveys for commercial establishments (malls, hospitals, IT parks, hotels)• Collect and analyze primary data for financial feasibility studies• Perform financial analysis including NPV, IRR, Payback Period, and Sensitivity Analysis• Assist in microgrid simulation and cost analysis• Support preparation of project reports and research publicationsAppointments will be purely contractual and project-based for the duration of the fellowship.How to ApplyInterested candidates may submit the following documents:• Updated CV with photograph• Copies of educational certificates and mark sheets• Statement of Purpose (maximum 200 words) explaining suitability for the role• Contact details and any relevant experience certificatesEmail applications to:Candidates interested in renewable energy, sustainability, and financial modelling for energy systems are encouraged to apply.
