Role Brief / Overview:Skilled and experienced GCP Networking Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable network architectures. Should come with deep knowledge of cloud-native networking, hybrid connectivity, security best practices, and performance optimization on GCP.Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage GCP networking components such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs, Cloud Routers, Cloud NAT, and Private Service Connect.Architect and implement hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions using Interconnect, VPN, and Peering.Configure and troubleshoot load balancing (HTTP(S), TCP/UDP, Internal LB, Global LB) and Cloud CDN for scalable application delivery.Implement Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), Firewall Rules, Network Tags, and Service Accounts to enforce security and compliance.Optimize network performance and cost-efficiency through monitoring, logging, and ing using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and third-party tools.Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support CI/CD and microservices deployment across network environments.Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.Stay current with GCP networking features, security enhancements, and industry best practices.Required:At least 5+ yrs hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, focusing on networking architecture and operations.Strong knowledge of GCP networking services, protocols (TCP/IPw, DNS, BGP), and toolsFamiliarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises connectivity, including Cloud VPN, Interconnect, and DNS forwarding.Proficiency in Python, Bash and Go (optional, yet good to have).Experience with best practices, including IAM, network segmentation, and Zero Trust networking.Google Certified Professional Network Engineer (certification preferrable, yet not compulsory for a candidate with commensurate experience).Familiarity with Apigee - Knowledge a plus to have.
