Responsibilities: • Lead the mechanical design process for new product development initiatives, including concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and validation. • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings. • Conduct engineering analyses such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack up to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, software, and other subsystems, ensuring seamless system integration. • Perform design reviews to solicit feedback, identify risks, and optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance. • Generate technical documentation, including design specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and test plans, to support manufacturing and assembly processes. • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and engineering, and incorporate them into project designs. • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, reviewing their work, and fostering their professional development. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, tools, and methodologies, aiming for greater efficiency and effectiveness. • Adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and quality management systems throughout the design process to ensure compliance and product safety. Educational Qualifications: • B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Tool and Die/Automobile Engineering or related field. Technical Skills: • Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in Automobile and consumer durable. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools. • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. • Experience leading and managing mechanical design projects from concept to production. • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget. • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach junior engineers. • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASME) is a plus. • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
