Key Responsibilities:Lead the architectural design and development of stadiums, arenas, and sports complexes across all project phases.Ensure designs comply with international sports federation standards (such as FIFA, CAF, AFC, World Athletics, etc.) and local building codes.Integrate operational, functional, and commercial requirements while enhancing spectator experience.Apply expertise in seating bowl design, sightline analysis, circulation planning, and accessibility.Coordinate with structural, MEP, and specialist consultants (lighting, acoustics, turf systems, sustainability).Conduct design and technical reviews to maintain quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.Champion in sustainable and future-ready sports facility design solutions, including smart technologies and energy-efficient strategies.Lead stakeholder coordination to align operational, safety, and commercial requirements with design solutions.Prepare and deliver high-level design presentations, technical workshops, and approval processes.Mentor and develop architects and designers within the sports architecture practice.Values Alignment:Demonstrates visionary leadership, client trust, and accountability.Advances athlete-focused, sustainable, and innovative sports facility design.Upholds the organization’s reputation for excellence and ethical practice in sports architecture.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.12+ years of professional architectural experience, with significant focus on sports facilities.Proven leadership in the design and delivery of major stadiums, arenas, and sports complexes.Additional qualifications like a specialized certificate on related to sports courses / specialized workshops etc. will have a preference.Skills and Competencies:Strong knowledge of sports facility planning, spectator experience, and compliance with federation standards.Proficiency in design and BIM tools as below (but not limited to):Design tools like AutoCAD , Revit, BIM360,Clash detection software like NavisworksCreative and complex geometry software like RhinoParametric design tools like Dynamo, Grasshopper with specific plugins used in stadium designStrong communication and client management skills.Ability to balance design innovation with operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.
