3 - 5 years Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical)0 – 3 years Junior Design Engineer (Mechanical)Qualification - BE Mechanical or equivalentActively contributing to the evolution of the product from its prototype phase to full-scale production. The activities to include.Participate in designing new/prototype component/product (for indigenous development needs that either fits into Fighter jets (Aerospace) or in Ships (Maritime)Participating in design reviews (internal and customer driven)Generating and refining design documents and diagramsConducting virtual tests to optimize designs.Participate in Pre-SOFT (Safety of flight testing) or equivalent for qualification of product for airworthiness.Potential coordination with vendors for procurement/production of correct MIL- grade components based on designs done. Advantageous Experience: Exposure to Design tools viz SolidWorks, Ansys etc is advantageous.Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) tools and simulation software.Knowledge of material properties and selection for mechanical components.Freshers should have done internships that has exposed them to designing with such tools.Experienced candidates must have experience in one or the other design tools. Any exposure to design and prototype of components, 3D design modelling , Virtual testing etc will be advantageous
