Scope of Work: Asst Manager / Manager – SPARK Education (Program Anchoring Role)ObjectiveThe Manager – SPARK Education will anchor and lead the SPARK program through strategic conceptualisation, continuous improvement, and high-quality implementation. The role will focus on designing impactful STEAM learning experiences, strengthening government partnerships, building internal capacities, and ensuring measurable outcomes for teachers and students.Key Deliverables / ExpectationsLead the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the SPARK program in alignment with organisational and donor priorities.Develop robust teacher training frameworks, standardized session plans, and strengthen integration with DSERT and government education systems.Establish effective monitoring mechanisms and produce high-quality monthly reports demonstrating program reach, outcomes, and impact.Drive student engagement through innovative STEAM activities, exhibitions, and recognition platforms.Build internal and external stakeholder capacity, including program teams, government partners, and funder management teams, to ensure program sustainability and scale.Key Responsibilities1. Program Conceptualisation, Strategy, and ImplementationLead the conceptualisation of the SPARK program in collaboration with the Program Strategy and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) teams.Continuously review and refine the program to align with organisational priorities, donor expectations, and the evolving education ecosystem.Develop and maintain a database of expert agencies, technical partners, and vendors to support program implementation.Work closely with the Education Department, DSERT, and DIETs (in coordination with the Education Lead) to enable program collaboration and integration into existing government initiatives, particularly teacher training platforms.Establish and showcase Model SPARK Schools as centres of excellence at district and state forums.2. Teacher Training Framework and Session PlanningDesign comprehensive teacher training content by incorporating inputs from STEAM experts, DSERT, and relevant academic bodies.Develop a structured teacher training implementation plan in partnership with DSERT and DIETs.Create standardized session plans aligned with state and national curricula for Science and Mathematics, integrating Arts, Technology, and Robotics in a practical and teacher-friendly manner.Demonstrate session plans at cluster-level teacher network meetings and selected model schools to promote adoption and best practices.3. Assessment, Monitoring, and ReportingOutcome MeasurementTrack improvements in student engagement with STEAM concepts and measure the percentage of students capable of building basic models.Monitor the number of students developing innovative projects for exhibitions and expressing interest in STEAM-related careers.ReportingCompile monthly reports capturing input, process, output, and outcome indicators, including sessions conducted and student learning outcomes across clusters.Present insights and progress updates to key stakeholders such as district education authorities, DSERT, and program funders to demonstrate impact and identify improvement areas.4. Innovation and Student EngagementDesign and lead innovative STEAM exhibitions in collaboration with the Education Department and DSERT.Engage funder volunteers through mentoring opportunities, special sessions, and science celebrations.Identify and support students to participate in state and national STEAM exhibitions and competitions (in coordination with the STEAM Program Coordinator).Develop and implement a structured reward and recognition framework for student achievements.5. Internal Capacity BuildingStrengthen the capabilities of SPARK Program Coordinators in program delivery, training methodologies, and content facilitation.Enable the funder management team with program insights, collateral, and technical understanding to effectively position the SPARK program to donors.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Input: Development of teacher training frameworks, session plans, and effective collaboration with DSERT and the Education Department.Process: Percentage of planned teacher and student orientation sessions completed within the first quarter.Output: Percentage of students actively using DIY models and participating in sessions.Outcome: Increase in the percentage of students expressing interest in STEAM careers.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, STEAM, or a related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience in STEAM content development, large-scale teacher training, and classroom demonstration.Proven experience working with government education departments at district and state levels, including DSERT and DIETs.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in monitoring, tracking, and reporting tools.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to effectively engage teachers, students, and partners.Demonstrated passion for advancing STEAM education and fostering student innovation.Application ProcessInterested candidates are requested to send the following documents to with the subject line: “Application for Assistant Manager – SPARK”Documents Required:Updated Resume/CV (maximum 2 pages)One-page Cover Letter outlining your interest and suitability for the roleRecent passport-size photograph (soft copy)Current and Expected CTC (in INR LPA)Notice Period (if applicable)
