Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Backup Administrator to manage and maintain enterprise backup environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data protection, backup reliability, and successful recovery processes across the organisation’s IT infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor enterprise backup solutions to ensure successful backup operationsPerform backup scheduling, configuration, and maintenance activitiesMonitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failures or performance issuesConduct periodic restore tests to ensure data recovery readinessMaintain backup policies, retention schedules, and documentationWork closely with infrastructure and system teams to ensure data protection compliancePerform daily health checks and reporting of backup systemsSupport disaster recovery planning and testing activitiesRequired Skills and Experience3–7 years of experience in backup administration or data protection rolesHands-on experience with enterprise backup tools (such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar)Good understanding of backup strategies, retention policies, and disaster recovery conceptsExperience supporting backup operations for servers, databases, and virtual environmentsBasic knowledge of storage systems and enterprise IT infrastructureStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in enterprise data centre environmentsFamiliarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-VRelevant certifications in backup or storage technologies are a plusKey CompetenciesStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage operational tasksGood communication and coordination skills
