We are looking for a Technical Program Manager- Vehicle Software to lead the development and execution of software engineering programs for our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cross-functional teams of hardware engineers, software engineers, UI/UX designers and external vendors to successfully deliver products on time and within budget. The Software Engineering Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the software development process from conception to launch, ensuring quality and efficiency in all aspects of the software engineering program. Job Responsibilities: • Collaborate with hardware engineers, software engineers, UI/UX designers, and external vendors to develop and execute the software engineering program roadmap. • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for software engineering programs. • Ensure that software engineering programs are executed efficiently and effectively, and that they meet the project requirements and standards for quality, reliability, and performance. • Manage cross-functional project teams, providing leadership, direction, and guidance to team members, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the expected level of quality. • Identify risks and issues that may impact the software engineering program, and develop mitigation plans to address them. • Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including executives and team members, in a timely and effective manner. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the software engineering team, encouraging the development of new processes and best practices. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software engineering, such as Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management. • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for software engineering team members, providing guidance and input to ensure that candidates meet the requirements for the role. What You’ll Bring • BS/MS degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields. • First-principles approach to unfamiliar problems • Capable of working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment • Excitement to learn new technologies in any area of the stack• Effective communication skills and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and split time between multiple large-scale projects • Proficiency in Confluence and Jira. • Familiarity in Agile principles – ScrumMaster is a big plus. • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. • Easily and confidently communicate with executive management. • Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitment • PMP certification is a plus
