Job Title: Senior Structural EngineerExperience: 10–15 YearsDepartment: Design & DevelopmentIndustry: Real Estate / ConstructionLocation: Life Republic -PuneRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Design & Development team. The role involves leading structural design, analysis, coordination, and execution support for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring structural safety, design efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project timelines and cost objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & EngineeringLead structural design and analysis for real estate projects including high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.Get the structural concepts, schemes, and detailed designs done (using relevant codes and standards) in coordination with the appointed structural consultants.Review architectural drawings and ensure structural feasibility and optimization.Get the preparation of structural drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications done in coordination with the appointed structural consultants within the project timelines.Project CoordinationCoordinate with architects, MEP consultants, project managers, and contractors during design and execution stages.Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessment meetings.Support project teams during construction for design clarifications and site-related structural decisions.Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with national and local building codes, safety norms, and statutory approvals.Conduct peer reviews and design audits to maintain quality standards.Monitor structural integrity, safety measures, and technical accuracy across projects.Cost & OptimizationIdentify opportunities for structural optimization to reduce material consumption and project costs.Support procurement teams with technical inputs for materials and structural systems.Leadership & MentoringMentor junior engineers and oversee their technical deliverables.Establish best practices, design standards, and documentation processes within the department.Qualifications & SkillsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering / Civil Engineering.Experience10–15 years of experience in structural design within real estate or construction sector.Experience in residential, commercial, and large-scale development projects.Technical SkillsProficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, SAP, etc.).Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structures.Familiarity with Indian Standards and international codes where applicable.Understanding of construction methodologies and site execution practices.Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent coordination and communication abilities.Decision-making capability with attention to safety and cost efficiency.Leadership and team management skills.Key DeliverablesAccurate and compliant structural designs.Timely completion of design packages aligned with project schedules.Cost-efficient structural solutions.Effective cross-functional coordination.Technical leadership within the design and development team.Reporting ToLead – Design & Development at Life Republic
