JD for VMWare VCF Consultant (Not into Admin)Role OverviewThe Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing large-scale VMware environments, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance across enterprise infrastructure. The role involves deep technical expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related tools, with strong focus on troubleshooting, automation, upgrades, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support enterprise VMware environments, including VCF, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related components.Administer ESXi infrastructure with HA, DRS, templates, cloning, storage allocation, and VM‑level disk troubleshooting.Oversee inventory and asset management, backups, disaster recovery readiness, and storage performance optimization.Work with Windows AD and Group Policy teams for installation, patching, customization, and capacity management.Collaborate with VMware backend, GSS, and cross-functional teams to resolve escalations and integrate network components.Develop monitoring dashboards, generate operational reports, conduct RCAs, and buildMaintain up‑to‑date knowledge of VMware products, cloud technologies, and industry trends to drive best‑practice adoption.Minimum Qualifications8+ years of professional experience in enterprise IT environments.At least 4 years in customer-facing or consulting roles within system integrators or IT service providers.Hands‑on expertise with VCF, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and VKS.Working knowledge of Aria Automation, Aria Operations, Aria Log Insight, and Aria Operations for Network Insight.Proven troubleshooting skills across VMware products and cloud platforms.Ability to work in a 24×7 environment based on business requirements.Excellent communication, client‑facing, and stakeholder management skills.
