We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient leader to drive the responsible implementation of SAP Joule, SAP’s AI-powered digital assistant.This role oversees the end-to-end deployment of Joule within SAP SaaS environments, ensuring ethical AI adoption, governance alignment, and public sector readiness.1. Strategic Planning & AI AdoptionLead the phased rollout of SAP Joule, starting with low-risk, high-impact use cases (e.g., HR, finance automation).Develop a roadmap for scaling AI across departments while maintaining responsible use.Align implementation strategy with Southwark’s public service goals and citizen impact.2. Data Readiness & IntegrationOversee data preparation activities including cleansing, structuring, and contextual mapping across SAP systems.Ensure Joule has access to high-quality, representative data to support accurate and fair decision-making.Collaborate with data teams to maintain data integrity and lineage.3. Responsible AI GovernanceEstablish and operationalize an AI Governance Framework aligned with EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and SAP Business AI principles.Set up cross-functional governance boards with stakeholders from IT, Legal, HR, and public services.Define and enforce ethical guardrails, including fairness, transparency, and accountability.4. Security & ComplianceImplement role-based access controls, consent management, and secure logging mechanisms.Ensure compliance with GDPR, NIS2, and other relevant public sector regulations.Conduct regular audits, bias assessments, and model monitoring using SAP AI Core and SAP BTP.5. Stakeholder Enablement & Change ManagementDrive AI literacy programs for business and IT users, focusing on responsible interaction with Joule.Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and feedback loops to ensure user confidence and ethical usage.Promote awareness of AI risks, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop protocols.6. Risk Mitigation & MonitoringConduct baseline AI maturity and risk assessments for Southwark Council.Deploy Responsible AI Playbooks tailored to public sector operations.Monitor AI outputs for drift, bias, and unintended consequences, ensuring explainability and traceability.Key Skills and Experience1. Familiarity with SAP SaaS & Cloud: SAP Joule, SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad2. Proven experience in SAP SaaS implementations, preferably with SAP BTP and SAP Joule.3. Strong understanding of Responsible AI frameworks, governance models, and public sector compliance.4. Experience with AI lifecycle management, data strategy, and ethical AI design.5. Familiarity with SAP AI Launchpad, AI Core, and related governance or audit platforms for monitoring fairness, explainability, and system integrity.6. SAP SaaS & Cloud: SAP Joule, SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad7. Responsible AI: EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, SAP Business AI principles8. Strong background in AI lifecycle management, including data readiness, ethical AI design, model monitoring, and bias.9. Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional teams, engage senior stakeholders, and drive AI governance adoption through structured communication and organizational change managementPreferred CertificationsCertification in ISO/IEC 42001 or related compliances is preferredCertifications in Responsible AI or cloud-native AI operations, or AI security is preferredSAP Certified Technology Consultant – SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or SAP CertifiedApplication Associate – SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad.Education & CertificationBachelor’s or equivalent degree is mandatory and/or Master’s degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.
