In FMEG, the shift from unbranded to trusted is accelerating. In OTC Health & Wellness, the pharmacy counter is becoming a lifestyle destination. And in energy, C&I solar is crossing from niche to mainstream — with IPP projects on the horizon that will require institutional-grade brand credibility.This CMO role is genuinely unusual — perhaps unique in the Indian market. You will run a consumer marketing engine for FMEG and health, AND build a B2B reputation strategy for a solar energy business targeting CFOs, plant heads, EPC contractors, and eventually, power off-takers and investors. Two distinct marketing disciplines. One leadership mandate.You won't inherit a playbook. You'll write one. With the authority and resources to do it right.WHAT YOU WILL DOBrand Architecture & Strategy▸ Define distinct brand identities for each business — consumer-facing for FMEG and Health & Wellness, and institutional/B2B for Sturlite Solar — while building coherent group-level equity that ties them together.▸ Own the brand narrative across stakeholder types: end consumers for electricals and health products; C-suite, plant heads, and energy consultants for solar.Consumer Demand Generation — FMEG & Health▸ Design and run integrated campaigns — ATL, BTL, digital, and influencer — calibrated to the consumer journey and purchase triggers in electricals and OTC health & wellness.▸ Build performance marketing capabilities in-house: SEO/SEM, social commerce, D2C funnels, and e-commerce visibility across Amazon, Flipkart, and quick-commerce channels.B2B Brand & Market Development — Solar (C&I and IPP)▸ Establish Sturlite Solar as a credible, bankable brand in the C&I market — targeting industrial and commercial buyers, EPC contractors, energy consultants, and facility managers through thought leadership, case studies, and sector presence.▸ Build the reputation infrastructure needed for IPP entry: white papers, project credentials, industry event presence (REI, POWERGEN, CII forums), and relationships with off-takers, DISCOMs, and institutional investors.▸ Develop channel partner and referral programs for the solar sales pipeline — positioning Sturlite as the preferred energy partner for mid-to-large commercial and industrial projects.Trade & Distribution Marketing — FMEG & Health▸ Partner with sales leadership to drive dealer and distributor engagement — trade schemes, visibility programs, point-of-sale assets, and loyalty frameworks across electricals hardware, modern trade, and pharmacy channels.▸ Build retail presence with category-specific merchandising, planogram compliance, and off-take initiatives tuned to each channel's dynamics.New Product Launches & Category Expansion▸ Lead consumer research, insights generation, and launch marketing for new SKUs and category entries — from concept validation through first-year scaling.▸ Work with product and R&D teams to ensure the voice of the consumer informs what gets built, not just how it gets sold.Building the Marketing Organisation▸ Hire, structure, and lead a high-performance marketing team — internal specialists, agency partners, and freelance networks — with clear ownership and accountability.▸ Establish the metrics, tools, and cadences that make marketing a measurable growth engine, not a cost centre.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE▸ A clear, differentiated brand platform is live for FMEG and Health & Wellness — with documented positioning, visual identity, and media strategy.▸ Sturlite Solar has a defined B2B brand identity, a credentials deck, and visible presence at a minimum of two major industry platforms.▸ A digital marketing engine is operational: paid performance, organic, and e-commerce presence generating attributable revenue for consumer categories.▸ Trade marketing programs are running in priority geographies with measurable uplift in retailer engagement and brand visibility.▸ A marketing team of 8–12 people is in place — including dedicated resource for solar B2B — with clear roles, KPIs, and a culture of creative rigour.▸ The leadership team has a CMO they trust completely and market data to show for it.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORYou've spent 15+ years in marketing — meaningfully split between building consumer brands and scaling distribution-led businesses. You've done it in FMEG, consumer durables, OTC health, or a closely adjacent category. You understand how trade channels think, not just how consumers behave.What makes this role different: you also need to hold a B2B marketing instinct. Sturlite Solar is a C&I and IPP business — its buyers are procurement heads, energy managers, CFOs, and project financiers. If you've marketed to both households and boardrooms, you're already ahead.You're equally at home presenting a brand story to the CEO as you are walking a pharmacy floor or speaking on a panel at an energy industry forum. You can hold a long-term brand vision AND manage next quarter's activation budget. You're hungry to build, not just manage.▸ MBA in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline from a reputed institution.▸ 15+ years of marketing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, Marketing Head, or CMO).▸ Deep domain experience in FMEG, consumer durables, OTC health & wellness, or adjacent consumer categories.▸ Exposure to B2B marketing, institutional brand-building, or industrial/energy sectors is a strong advantage.▸ Demonstrated success in building brands from mid-scale to national prominence.▸ Hands-on experience with digital marketing, performance marketing, and modern trade — not just strategy ownership.▸ Proven ability to lead and develop large, cross-functional marketing teams.▸ Strong executive presence with the ability to influence peer leaders in sales, product, and finance.WHY THIS ROLE▸ ▸ Mandate with authority: You're not inheriting someone else's org chart.
