Role PurposeThe role is responsible for end-to-end Testing & Commissioning (T&C) of Data Center infrastructure, ensuring all systems are safe, compliant, integrated, and performance-ready prior to client handover. The incumbent will lead commissioning strategy, execution, stakeholder coordination, and final acceptance for mission-critical facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesT&C Leadership & StrategyDevelop and own the overall Testing & Commissioning strategy for data center projectsPrepare commissioning plans, test scripts, procedures, and schedules aligned with design intent and client standardsLead pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, hot commissioning, IST, and performance testingSystems & IntegrationCommission critical DC systems including:Electrical: HT/LT, UPS, DG, STS, PDUsMechanical: Chillers, CRAH/CRAC, cooling plantsBMS / IBMSFire Detection & SuppressionLead Integrated Systems Testing (IST) including failure scenarios and redundancy validation (Tier compliance)Compliance & QualityEnsure adherence to Uptime Institute / TIA / ASHRAE / NFPA / IEC / IEEE standardsValidate OEM requirements, statutory approvals, and safety complianceIdentify gaps, risks, and non-conformities; drive closure with construction and vendor teamsStakeholder & Vendor ManagementAct as the primary T&C interface with clients, consultants, OEMs, and contractorsCoordinate multi-vendor testing activities and manage dependenciesSupport client audits, design reviews, and final acceptance testingDocumentation & HandoverReview and approve test reports, as-built documentation, O&M manualsSupport smooth client handover, training, and operational readinessEnsure commissioning records are audit-ready and traceableKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in Data Center Testing & CommissioningHands-on experience with mission-critical infrastructureDeep understanding of redundancy, reliability, and failure-mode testingExcellent stakeholder communication and leadership skillsAbility to manage high-pressure commissioning windows and critical milestonesEducational QualificationB.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation / related engineering disciplineCommissioning or Data Center certifications (preferred, not mandatory)
