Job Description: Civil Engineer Location: Ranchi / Daltonganj, JharkhandPosition Type: Full-timeDepartment: Civil Engineering / Project ExecutionJob SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and technically sound Junior Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing on-site execution (civil, interiors, and landscape), managing government/PWD documentation, and ensuring quality control. You will play a crucial role in project estimation, contractor management, and bridging the gap between site execution and administrative reporting.Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Quality ControlOversee and manage day-to-day site execution for civil construction, interior fit-outs, and landscaping projects.Conduct strict quality checks to ensure all work meets project specifications and safety standards.Plan, sequence, and schedule daily site activities to ensure timely project progression.Monitor site progress and coordinate effectively with site supervisors and laborers.2. Government Department & PWD WorksPrepare comprehensive Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for government and PWD projects.Draft accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on the Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR) and Jharkhand Schedule of Rates (JSR).Maintain the Measurement Book (MB) rigorously and process contractor bills/invoices efficiently.Liaise with government departments to ensure smooth approvals and compliance with PWD standards.3. Estimation, Procurement & Contractor ManagementPerform accurate quantity estimation and costing for upcoming and ongoing phases of work.Conduct regular market surveys to analyze material availability and current pricing.Invite quotations, compare rates, and negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.Handle day-to-day management of contractors, resolving on-site disputes and ensuring adherence to work orders.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.Domain Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of civil works, project sequencing, estimation, and government billing processes (DSR/JSR).Software Proficiency: * AutoCAD (for drafting and reading drawings)Revit (for 3D modeling and BIM coordination)Microsoft Excel (for BOQ, estimation, and data management)Key Traits: Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple contractors and vendors seamlessly.
