The Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe working practices at construction sites related to electrical installations and associated civil works. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring compliance with safety standards, and ensuring that all electrical installation activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures at the construction site.Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for electrical installation activities.Ensure safe practices during cable laying, panel installation, earthing works, and electrical equipment installation.Conduct daily safety inspections and site safety audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.Ensure workers follow proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage and safe working procedures.Monitor safety compliance during work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, and electrical works.Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety training programs for workers and subcontractors.Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, project safety requirements, and client safety standards.Maintain safety records, incident reports, safety checklists, and documentation.Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to ensure safe execution of electrical installation works.Promote a safety culture across the project site.Qualification Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Safety field Certification in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH is preferred.
