Position: GNC Engineer (Flight Control) Purpose of role: Design, develop and test the control algorithms for launch vehicles. Responsibilities Design robust controller for different stages of the launch vehicle and validating in 6 DOF simulations.Develop the GNC algorithm for flight software and perform its verification and validation. Perform testing of GNC software through Monte Carlo analysis, software-in-loop, hardware-in-loop testing. Documenting the design and test results and participating in design reviews. Skills requiredExperience or knowledge in classical controller design, Gain scheduling and modern control design techniques. Experience or knowledge in design and validation of the control laws by SIL and HIL tests. Sound knowledge in flight mechanics, control system design for aerospace vehicles. Strong understanding of classical dynamics, modelling and simulation, and software development. Experience in using Matlab and Simulink tools for system modelling and control system design. Flair for high-level language like C/C++ etc. is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced and intense start-up environment and must be willing to work for extended hours and weekends.Qualification Essential: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Control/Electrical (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in control design, modelling and simulation (or) Master’s degree in Controls System/Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Flight Mechanics and Control (or equivalent). Preferrable: 1. Experience in Hardware-In-Loop Simulation (HILS).
