We're looking for a sharp, technically curious marketer to own the entire growth loop from awareness to activation to retention, with a product-led mindset.Role DescriptionAs Scrapingdog's first dedicated Product-Led Marketing Manager, you will own the funnel from the moment a developer discovers us to the moment they become a paying customer and beyond. You will work directly with the founder, with significant ownership and freedom to experiment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESActivation & ConversionOwn the free trial funnel — drive users from signup to their first successful API callDesign and run lifecycle email campaigns to convert free users to paid plansIdentify and fix drop-off points in the onboarding flow using product dataDeveloper Community & BrandOwn Scrapingdog's LinkedIn presence — write regular posts on new features, use cases, tutorials, and customer wins in a credible, founder-adjacent voiceOwn Scrapingdog's X (Twitter) presence — post code snippets, quick tips, API updates, and engage in scraping/SEO/data threads to drive organic visibilityBuild relationships with developer influencers, indie hackers, and technical creators on LinkedIn and X for organic amplificationEngage in communities where scrapers hang out — Reddit, Hacker News, Discord, dev forumsManage presence on Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, and similar platformsGrowth AnalyticsTrack and report on activation rate, trial-to-paid conversion, and churn signalsRun A/B experiments on landing pages, onboarding flows, and pricing CTAsBuild dashboards and translate data into clear growth hypothesesPartnerships & DistributionIdentify co-marketing and integration partnership opportunitiesReach out to data platforms, aggregators, and complementary tools for distributionWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMust Have2–4 years of experience in B2D (business-to-developer) or SaaS marketingComfortable reading and writing basic code (Python, JS, or similar) — you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be able to evaluate a curl command and understand API docsStrong written communication — you can write a tutorial that developers actually want to readExperience with lifecycle/email marketing tools (e.g. Customer.io, Mailchimp, Drip)Data-driven: you track what you test and you know what a conversion funnel looks likeProven track record of growing or managing a brand presence on LinkedIn and X, ideally in a developer tools or B2D contextAbility to write short-form technical content — threads, carousels, tips — that resonates with a developer audience without sounding corporateNice to HavePrior experience at a scraping, data, or infrastructure API companyHands-on SEO experience with keyword research, on-page optimization, and content auditsFamiliarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Mixpanel, or AmplitudeExperience running developer-focused community campaigns or ambassador programsWHAT YOU GETDirect access to the founder — no layers of managementHigh ownership: you will build the marketing function, not just execute tasksCompetitive compensation based on experienceRemote-friendly with flexibility on hoursA product that developers genuinely love and use daily
