Job Description

From Rovers to Robots to Flight Simulators & Beyond The Axial Aero ConnectionThe sameembedded engineering spiritthat drove Unimate's firmware and put Surveyor softly on the Moon is exactly what powers Axial Aero simulators today. At Axial Aero, that code drives full-motion simulation platforms, machines that tilt, rotate, and accelerate a crew through 360 degrees of physical force while simultaneously running real-time RTOS control loops, sensor fusion pipelines, and high-fidelity physics engines, all within sub-millisecond timing margins that cannot slip. Fighter jets, Helicopters, Commercial airliners, Rocket crew modules, the physics doesn't care which cockpit you're modelling - and neither does the firmware. This is the closest thing to a real cockpit - or a crew module hurtling back through atmosphere - that exists on the ground. Tiniest motions modelled, every actuator commanded, every frame rendered has your name on it.Embedded Engineering Lead Location: [Onsite] – Hyderabad / Bengaluru Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 8+ Years Domain: Embedded / Electronics / Aerospace / Aviation Simulation / MechatronicsAbout Axial Aero:We build next-generation full-motion, full-mission simulation platforms, for fighter pilots pulling high-G manoeuvres, helicopter pilots doing nape-of-earth flying, commercial pilots running emergency procedures, and astronauts training for the space flight. Machines that don't just look like the real thing but feel like it. It means centrifugal forces a pilot or crew member physically experience, 6-DOF and multi-axis 360-degree rotation platforms driven by safety-critical embedded software. It means immersive projection and XR environments responding in lockstep with real-time physics, whether you're modelling a fighter cockpit, a chopper, a commercial airliner, or a spacecraft crew station. We're a small, deeply technical team moving fast. People here own problems end-to-end: from bare-metal firmware to full system integration to what a crew member actually feels in the seat. If you've spent your career waiting to work on something genuinely hard and meaningful - with hardware that pushes back and physics that doesn't forgive rounding errors - this, is it.What You'll Be Building:You will be part of truly multi-disciplinary team, sharing knowledge on materials, mechanical designs, electronics, aerodynamics and aero-engines, human physiology, aviation medicine, firmware, software and AI.Your primary focus would be to contribute to developing afield deployable Aviation simulation platform , embedding firmware in realistic cockpit-like structures, controlling precise motion on 6-DOF motion platforms and multi-axis rotations subjected to high-velocity centrifugal motion, intended forpilot training and operational readiness exercises .Depending on the programme, this work may also open doors that very few engineers get access to: restricted civil and military aerospace facilities, direct interaction with operators in the field, and the kind of feedback on your work that you can only get from people who've actually flown the aircraft or trained for space orbit. You may also have theprivilege of interacting with decorated soldiers and officers of the Indian armed forces. If you have a passion forembedded technologies, physics-based systems, and aviation trainingand patriotism to contribute toBharat’s Aatmanirbharata , this is the perfect role for you!Qualifications & Skills:Non-negotiable Deep proficiency in embedded C/C++. You write firmware, not wrappers Proven experience taking hardware from concept through to field prototype Real-time systems mindset: you understand timing, determinism, and what happens when they failStrong Advantage Experience with Unreal Engine — we run immersive visual systems alongside motion Background setting up or running a mechatronics lab or workshop End-to-end ownership track record: concept → design → testing → productionHow you Work: Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment where requirements evolve with the hardware Strong multidisciplinary instincts - you can talk to a mechanical engineer and a software architect in the same meeting You build camaraderie, not silos
