Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) – YugabyteDBLocation: Mumbai / Hyderabad ( Work from Office )Company: Stealth AI StartupExperience: 3 – 8 YearsEmployment Type: Full TimeJoining: Immediate / 30 days notice period preferredAbout the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in YugabyteDB to manage and support highly available distributed database environments for enterprise workloads.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability architectures, with exposure to cloud or large-scale infrastructure environments.This role will be based in Mumbai / Hyderabad and will support critical production systems for enterprise customers.Key Responsibilities : Database AdministrationInstall, configure, and manage YugabyteDB clusters in production environmentsPerform database provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle managementMonitor database health, availability, and performancePerformance Monitoring & OptimizationAnalyze and optimize query performance and database workloadsIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed database environmentsMonitor system metrics and proactively tune database configurationsHigh Availability & ScalabilityManage distributed database clusters ensuring high availability and fault toleranceImplement replication, failover strategies, and disaster recovery mechanismsSupport scaling of database nodes and cluster expansionBackup & RecoveryImplement backup strategies and recovery proceduresPerform regular backup validation and restoration testingEnsure compliance with data protection and disaster recovery policiesAutomation & MonitoringDevelop scripts and automation for routine DBA tasksIntegrate monitoring tools for proactive alerting and incident responseWork closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD database deploymentsOperational SupportProvide L2/L3 production support for database environmentsTroubleshoot database incidents and ensure timely resolutionMaintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooksRequired Skills & Experience3 – 8 years of overall DBA experienceHands-on experience with YugabyteDB administrationStrong understanding of distributed databases and cluster architectureExperience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databasesExperience with database backup, recovery, replication, and failoverKnowledge of Linux environments and shell scriptingExperience in performance tuning and query optimizationPreferred SkillsExperience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Exposure to Kubernetes-based deploymentsExperience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similarKnowledge of automation tools and infrastructure-as-codeWhat We Are Looking ForStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in high-availability production environmentsExperience managing mission-critical databasesExcellent collaboration skills with engineering and operations teamsAdditional InformationCandidates must be willing to work from Mumbai / Hyderabad.Preference will be given to immediate joiners or candidates with notice period up to 30 daysCandidates with experience supporting large-scale distributed databases will be preferred
