Job Description

Job Role InvolvesAs a Special Educator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized educational interventions for children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs.The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and pediatricians to support the developmental and educational progress of children.Job Location: Hyderabad(Miyapur)Job Role IncludesConduct educational and developmental assessments for children with learning and developmental difficulties.Identify learning needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.Set short-term and long-term learning goals based on each child’s abilities.Monitor progress and modify intervention plans as required.Use specialized teaching methods and adapted learning materials suitable for individual learning styles.Implement strategies for improving:Language and communication skillsCognitive abilitiesSocial skillsAcademic readinessBehaviour regulationAdditional Roles and ResponsibilitiesMaintain individual student progress records and assessment reports.Work closely with parents and caregivers to guide them on supporting the child’s learning at home.Collaborate with therapists and teachers to ensure holistic development of the child.Conduct remedial and skill-building sessions tailored to each child’s needs.Prepare customized teaching aids, worksheets, and learning activities.Provide behavior management support and positive reinforcement strategies.Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and intervention planning sessions.Assist in school readiness and inclusive education planning for children transitioning to mainstream classrooms.Stay updated with latest special education practices, therapies, and intervention methods.Required SkillsKnowledge of special education techniques and intervention strategiesExperience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Understanding of developmental disorders (Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environmentSkills in behavior management and classroom managementAbility to design adapted learning materials and teaching aidsStrong observation, assessment, and documentation skillsPatience, empathy, and a child-centered approachEducational RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education (B.Ed / M.Ed Special Education)Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
