Our commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement drives our success as we expand our federal presence.Job SummaryWe are seeking a senior Capture & Proposal Director to drive growth across the US Federal market by leading opportunity capture strategy and hands-on proposal execution. This hybrid leadership role blends pipeline development, win strategy, and full lifecycle proposal management. The ideal candidate is both a strategic capture leader and a hands-on proposal writer who can translate customer intelligence into compliant, compelling, and winning submissions.This role owns opportunities from early qualification through submission and award.Key ResponsibilitiesCapture Leadership• Identify, qualify, and prioritize federal opportunities aligned with growth strategy• Lead capture planning, win strategy development, and competitive positioning• Conduct customer research, stakeholder mapping, and competitor analysis• Develop capture artifacts including win themes, solution positioning, and call plans• Collaborate with BD, technical leadership, and executives to shape solutions• Own capture schedules, risk tracking, and gate reviews• Drive proposal readiness and pre-RFP positioningProposal Leadership (Hands-On)• Lead full lifecycle federal proposal execution• Serve as hands-on lead writer for executive summaries, technical, and management volumes• Translate capture intelligence into evaluator-focused messaging• Ensure strict compliance with RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements• Manage Pink, Red, Gold, and Final reviews• Oversee proposal schedules, content integration, and submission• Mentor proposal writers and coordinators• Maintain proposal libraries, templates, and best practicesRequired Qualifications• 10+ years of US federal capture and proposal experience• Demonstrated win record on competitive federal pursuits• Strong hands-on proposal writing expertise• Experience leading capture strategy from qualification through award• Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes• Exceptional persuasive writing and editing skills• Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceCertifications (Nice to Have)• APMP certification required (Practitioner or Professional preferred) from Association ofProposal Management Professionals• Shipley capture/proposal training preferred• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plusPreferred Qualifications• Experience with large IDIQ/GWAC or multi-award vehicles• Background in IT, professional services, or federal consulting• Experience in growth-stage or small business environments• Ability to scale capture/proposal infrastructure
