Job Description Senior Design Engineer – Projects Company: Prolific 3D Tech • Website: • Work Days: 6 days a week (Alternate Saturdays off) • Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred Role Overview • We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Projects with strong expertise in project coordination, client management, and technical design execution. • The role requires leading project planning, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring high‑quality technical deliverables using SolidWorks and visualization tools. • This position requires someone who can own project delivery end‑to‑end, manage client relationships, guide internal teams, and ensure timely completion of engineering visualization projects. Work Distribution • 50% Project Management & Client Communication.• 35% Technical Design & SolidWorks Modelling. • 15% Team Coordination & Project Quality Control Key Responsibilities – Project Planning & Management • Plan end‑to‑end project execution strategy, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. • Conduct project kick‑off meetings with internal teams and stakeholders. • Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans during execution. • Manage project workflow, track deliverables, and ensure timelines are consistently met. • Drive weekly project review meetings and progress tracking dashboards. • Coordinate between design, animation, and rendering teams to ensure smooth project execution. • Ensure project profitability by optimizing resource allocation and revision cycles. Client Communication & Stakeholder Management • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. • Conduct requirement gathering discussions, project briefings, and approval checkpoints. • Lead client presentations for design concepts, storyboards, and project updates. • Prepare project documentation including MOM, requirement briefs, and delivery reports. • Manage client feedback loops and ensure timely resolution of revisions. Technical Design & Engineering Visualization• Develop advanced 3D CAD models in SolidWorks for engineering visualization and animation. • Translate engineering processes into technical storyboards and animation scripts. • Collaborate with animation teams to create machine working mechanism, installation, and operator training animations using Simlab Composer. • Ensure technical accuracy of models, assemblies, and engineering processes represented in animations. Team Coordination & Leadership • Guide and mentor junior design engineers and animation teams during project execution. • Allocate tasks and ensure efficient workload distribution across project teams. • Review design outputs to maintain quality standards and technical accuracy. • Support team members in resolving technical modelling or visualization challenges. Quality Assurance & Reporting • Monitor overall project quality and ensure adherence to company standards. • Plan render schedules and optimize resource utilization. • Lead internal quality reviews before final delivery to clients. • Provide inputs for performance evaluation and variable pay metrics based on project outcomes. • Maintain project documentation and knowledge repository for future reference. Requirements • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.• 3–5 years of experience in Design Engineering, SolidWorks modelling, and project coordination. • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Advanced Modelling & Assemblies). • Experience in engineering visualization, CAD‑based storytelling, or animation workflows. • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deadlines simultaneously. • Prior experience in client‑facing roles or technical consulting will be an advantage.
