We are looking for a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team and take full ownership of frontend architecture, delivery, and team leadership. You will independently drive frontend projects from initial scoping through to production release — with minimal senior oversight — while coordinating and delegating work across a team of junior engineers.This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable writing production-grade code, making architectural decisions, and holding a team accountable for quality and delivery. You will also play an active role in client-facing engagements, contributing to pre-sales conversations, scoping discussions, and effort estimation alongside commercial and technical stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & DeliveryIndependently drive frontend projects end-to-end — from scoping, architecture design, and technical planning through to production release — with minimal senior oversight.Own frontend delivery timelines for your squad, including effort estimations, risk identification and flagging, and proactive stakeholder communication on progress and blockers.Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reusable UI components and frontend systems using React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Define and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, performance optimization, and accessibility (WCAG standards).Partner with DevOps and backend teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or equivalent platforms.Client Engagement & EstimationParticipate in client-facing meetings and pre-sales calls to represent frontend capabilities, discuss technical feasibility, and build confidence with prospective clients.Contribute to effort estimation and scoping exercises for new client engagements, translating business requirements into realistic, well-structured technical plans.Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders — articulating approach, trade-offs, timelines, and risks in accessible language.Team Management & MentorshipAct as the day-to-day technical lead for a team of 5–10 junior engineers, including task breakdown, unblocking, PR reviews, and accountability for overall team output quality.Break down complex features and epics into well-scoped, actionable tasks and delegate effectively across the team.Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive, growth-oriented feedback to team members.Mentor junior developers, supporting their technical growth, career development, and engineering best practices.Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the frontend team.Collaboration & AI IntegrationCollaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces.Demonstrate daily, hands-on use of AI developer tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) across coding, debugging, documentation, and code review workflows — and actively champion their adoption within the team.Architect and build AI-integrated frontend features, including interfaces that consume LLM APIs and surface intelligent, dynamic experiences to end users.Contribute to sprint planning, technical roadmap discussions, and cross-functional architecture reviews.Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and proactively recommend adoption where appropriate.Required Qualifications8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on frontend engineering.Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript (must-have), and React.js, including hooks, context, state management (Redux / Zustand / Recoil), and performance optimization.Demonstrated ability to independently lead frontend projects from scoping and architecture through to production, with minimal oversight.Proven experience acting as a day-to-day technical lead for a team of junior engineers — including task delegation, unblocking, and quality accountability.Strong track record of owning delivery timelines — managing estimations, surfacing risks early, and communicating confidently with stakeholders.Experience participating in client-facing or pre-sales engagements — contributing to scoping, estimation, and technical Q&A with prospective or existing clients.Demonstrated daily use of AI developer tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) and proven experience building AI-integrated frontend features, including LLM API integration and AI-powered user interfaces.Solid hands-on experience with other frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, Next.js, or Svelte.Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, CloudFront, Amplify, Lambda) and/or DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Terraform.Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals — design patterns, SOLID principles, modular architecture.Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL integration.Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (PR reviews, branching strategies).Nice to HaveExperience with micro-frontend architecture.Familiarity with Web Performance tools (Lighthouse, Web Vitals) and optimization techniques.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher).
