Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving end‑to‑end operational and financial governance of CSR projects, including fund management, compliance with Companies Act CSR Rules, partner financial monitoring, and audit readiness both internal and external. The role requires strong process and operations acumen, experience in grant management, excellent stakeholder management skills, and deep knowledge of CSR finance processes.Roles and Responsibilities: 1.Grant Governance & Controls: Lead verification of grant request documents as per internal processes. Oversee grant disbursement workflows and coordinate with Finance & Accounts for timely release of funds.Ensure proper documentation sanction notes, and financial submissions.2.Financial Documentation & Templates:Develop and standardize templates for financial reporting, UCs, expenditure statements, capex declarations, and spend trackers.Maintain an organized financial document repository with audit-ready trails.3.Utilization Tracking & Compliance:Review and document the audited Utilization Certificates, partner financial statements, and supporting evidence. Tracks spend plan vs. actual utilization for each CSR project; highlight variances and risks.Identify variances, risks, and compliance gaps; initiate corrective measures with CSR program teams.Ensure adherence to mandatory CSR financial compliance such as unspent balances, admin cap, and Schedule VII alignment.4.Financial Reconciliation & Reporting: Lead monthly/quarterly reconciliations across CSR projects. Prepare MIS dashboards on fund flow, utilization, variances, unspent balances, and forecasts.Support financial reporting for Board-level CSR Committee, and leadership reviews.5.Audit ManagementManage internal audits, and third‑party financial external audits across all CSR projects.Facilitate sampling, documentation, clarifications, and closure of audit observations.Maintain continuous audit readiness and strengthen controls post-audit learnings.6.Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)Establish and strengthen internal financial controls for CSR funds and documents.Identify risks (diversion, non‑compliance, documentation gaps) and implement preventive controls.Stay updated on CSR Rule changes; translate into SOPs and checklists.7.Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with Finance, Legal, Compliance, CSR Project teams, and implementation partners for all finance-related matters.Provide guidance to Project team on financial standards, documentation quality, and compliance requirements.8.Process Excellence Continuously improve SOPs, workflows, templates, and governance frameworks.Standardize financial reporting formats.Required Education Qualification: Any Post Graduate Degree with specific experience in CSR, Operations, Finance, and Audit. Experience Required: 10–15 years in CSR industry, with varied experience. 4–6 years in Audit and Finance.Skills required:Deep understanding of CSR Rules (Companies Act, and Schedule VII).Expertise in operations, grant management, and financial governance.Strong audit management exposure (internal, external, third-party).Analytical thinking and financial risk management.Strong communication.MS office.
