Job Title: L3 Wintel, Citrix & Azure AdministratorLocation: RemoteDepartment: IT Infrastructure & Cloud OperationsReporting To: IT Infrastructure Manager / Service Delivery ManagerExperience Required: 7–12 YearsEmployment Type: ContractRole OverviewThe L3 Wintel, Citrix & Azure Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise-level Windows Server environments, Citrix Virtualization platforms, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The role requires excellent troubleshooting capability, ownership of incidents and problem management, and the ability to design and optimize systems for reliability, scalability, and performance.The candidate will lead root cause analysis, drive automation and standardization, and collaborate with L1/L2 teams to ensure adherence to best practices and SLAs.Key ResponsibilitiesWindows / Wintel AdministrationInstall, configure & administer Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments.Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, RDP & security configurations.Perform Server Hardening, patching, OS upgrades, compliance & audit readiness.Troubleshoot Kerberos, LDAP, SYSVOL replication, AD Sites & Services issues.Manage Cluster Services, Failover Clustering, NLB, File Services (DFS/FRS).Performance tuning & event log analysis in complex enterprise environments.Citrix AdministrationManage and support Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop) environments.Administer Citrix StoreFront, Director, Delivery Controllers, VDA, Workspace App.Skilled in Profile Management (UPM/FSLogix) & printing redirection troubleshooting.Maintain Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) / Machine Creation Services (MCS).Optimize user session performance & investigate latency, bandwidth & ICA issues.Implement Citrix policies, access control, load balancing, and session management.Azure Cloud AdministrationManage Azure VMs, VNets, Storage, Load Balancers, Azure AD, NSGs, Firewalls.Configure & monitor Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), ARM Policies.Implement Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud.Support Hybrid Identity (AD Connect, ADFS, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).Perform Cost optimization, resource governance & tagging.Virtualization & BackupWork with VMware vSphere/ESXi: VM provisioning, performance tuning, snapshots.Manage storage (SAN/NAS) including provisioning & connectivity troubleshooting.Configure and maintain Veeam / Commvault / Azure Backup / NetBackup.Incident, Change & Problem ManagementAct as L3 escalation for critical incidents and service outages.Create and update SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles.Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) and follow ITIL practices.Technical Skills RequiredWindows Server: AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Failover Clustering, RDSCitrix: Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Director, PVS/MCS, StoreFrontAzure: Azure VM, VNet, Azure AD, ASR, Backup, Monitor, NSG, Load BalancingVirtualization: VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenterBackup: Veeam / Azure Backup / CommvaultMonitoring Tools: SCOM, SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, LogicMonitorScripting: PowerShell (advanced preferred)Networking: VLANs, Routing basics, Firewall rules, VPNSoft SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to handle high-pressure critical incidents.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.Ability to mentor & guide L1/L2 support teams.Strong ownership, accountability, and documentation discipline.Certifications (Preferred)MCSA / MCSE or Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104 / AZ-305)Citrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA, CCP-V)VMware VCPITIL v4 FoundationKey Performance IndicatorsSLA adherence & incident resolution quality.Reduced recurring issues via RCA & preventive measures.Infrastructure availability, reliability & performance targets.Documentation, automation & standardization improvements.
