The company is committed to continuous innovation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.Role DescriptionAgrasen Engineering is seeking an experienced New Product Development (NPD) Manager to lead the development and industrialization of new precision components across its integrated manufacturing processes.The role involves managing the complete product development lifecycle, from RFQ evaluation and feasibility analysis to process development, tooling design, validation trials, and production launch.The NPD Manager will work closely with customers, engineering teams, tooling, production, and quality departments to ensure that new products are successfully developed using forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface treatment processes.This is a full-time on-site role based in Jaipur, requiring strong technical leadership and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality products within defined timelines and cost targets.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct DevelopmentLead end-to-end new product development from RFQ stage to mass production.Conduct technical feasibility studies for manufacturing processes including forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface finishing.Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements.Process DevelopmentDevelop and optimize manufacturing processes includingHot / Cold ForgingCNC MachiningHeat Treatment (Induction / Furnace / Hardening)Grinding and finishing operationsSurface treatments and coatingsSub-assembly processesTooling & IndustrializationCoordinate tooling design and development for forging dies, machining fixtures, and gauges.Manage trial runs, validation batches, and pilot production.Ensure process capability and manufacturing efficiency before production launch.Quality & Customer ApprovalsLead APQP, PPAP, and product validation processes.Work with quality teams to prepare DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection standards.Interface with customers for technical discussions, approvals, and project reviews.Project ManagementManage multiple development projects simultaneously.Ensure projects meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and sales teams.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, process capability, and product design.Support cost optimization through process improvements and tooling innovations.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.7–15 years experience in automotive or precision engineering manufacturing.Strong expertise in forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface treatment processes.Experience in automotive NPD processes such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.Knowledge of precision components such as bearing rings, transmission components, or similar automotive parts.Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.Preferred ExperienceExperience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.Exposure to bearing components, forged transmission parts, or drivetrain components.Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation in forging and machining.
