We’re looking for someone who loves understanding how food works - the science behind flavour, texture, shelf life, and doing actual food production. If you enjoy turning ideas into structured, repeatable food systems, you’ll feel right at home here.You will help develop, test, document, and optimise recipes and production systems across gelato, bakery, and dessert components. Alongside food science, you will also be actively involved in day-to-day production, helping ensure products are made consistently and to the GOAT standards.Responsibilities - Assist in developing and testing new gelato flavours, desserts and bakery componentsConduct ingredient functionality and market feasibility studies to determine the best combinations for texture, flavour, and stability.Participate in day-to-day production across product components to ensure consistency and high-quality outputHelp analyse ingredient functionality such as sugars, fats, stabilisers, and emulsifiersSupport the product team in troubleshooting production issues and improving product consistencyConvert recipes into clear, repeatable SOPs and maintain product documentationConduct shelf-life studies to assess and optimize product longevity, storage requirements, and freshnessUse sensory analysis techniques to evaluate taste, texture, aroma, and appearance, ensuring products meet premium standardsSource and test innovative ingredients that align with G.O.A.T.’s commitment to luxury and sustainabilityHelp track production data, recipe adjustments, and product trialsEstablish and enforce robust food safety protocols, adhering to all regulatory and certification standardsContribute ideas for improving existing products or creating new indulgent experiencesRequirements - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
