Job Description: Cluster Head – Manufacturing (Chemical Plants)Location: Bharuch, GujaratIndustry: Chemicals (Specialty / Industrial)Reporting To: CEOPosition Overview:We are looking for a seasoned and results-driven Cluster Head – Manufacturing to lead multiple chemical manufacturing sites in Ankleshwar and Sahayka, Gujarat. This role requires a strong techno-commercial leader with deep expertise in chemical manufacturing, process optimization, cost leadership, regulatory management, and multi-site operations. The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, safety, compliance, and technology adoption across the manufacturing cluster.Key Responsibilities:Manufacturing & Operations Leadership• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple chemical plants.• Drive operational excellence across production, maintenance, engineering, EHS, and utilities.• Ensure optimum capacity utilization, quality standards, and on-time production.• Build and mentor strong plant leadership teams.• Establish performance metrics and continuous improvement culture across sites.Process & Technology Excellence• Provide leadership in process chemistry, scale-up, and process optimization.• Drive implementation of new technologies including flow chemistry.• Lead yield improvement, throughput enhancement, and debottlenecking initiatives.• Evaluate and implement automation and digital manufacturing opportunities.Cost Optimization & Productivity• Deliver substantial and sustainable cost savings across utilities, manpower, and technology.• Implement energy efficiency and resource optimization programs.• Benchmark plants against industry best-in-class cost structures.• Drive continuous cost reduction and EBITDA improvement initiatives.P&L Management• Own and manage manufacturing P&L for the cluster.• Prepare and control annual budgets and operating plans.• Monitor conversion costs, utility costs, and plant profitability.• Evaluate and execute capex with strong ROI discipline.Regulatory & External Stakeholder Management• Maintain strong relationships with GIDC, Pollution Control Board, Factory Inspectorate, and Labour Department.• Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations.• Manage audits, approvals, and inspections.Safety, Compliance & ESG• Drive a zero-incident safety culture.• Ensure adherence to all EHS and statutory norms.• Lead sustainability and environmental initiatives.Candidate Profile:Education:• B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university (IIT, ICT, NIT or equivalent preferred).Experience:• 15–20 years in the chemical manufacturing industry.• Proven experience managing multiple manufacturing sites.• Demonstrated success in cost optimization, productivity improvement, and technology implementation.Core Competencies:• Strong knowledge of process chemistry and plant operations.• Exposure to flow chemistry and modern manufacturing technologies.• Proven track record of delivering savings in utilities, manpower, and process costs.• Experience managing plant or cluster-level P&L.• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability.Compensation:• Competitive industry-leading compensation with performance-linked incentives.
