Position: Project Engineer - Mechanical or electrical Reports to: Project Manager DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-Order responsibilities: Read / Study Customer’s RFQ documents Understand application/s in totality. Seek clarifications if needed from Sales team / Customers Check feasibility of our product to suit the application & choose the right product List / Elaborate local Integration required for the application Get the quote from the MTB/ Work out estimated costing, time frame, proposal drawings Work out offer containing. BoM of imported and local items Schematic of solution (2D or 3D Drawing / Sketches / Pics / Videos) Preparing costing file for imported and local items Work out RFQs for vendors highlighting customer component details, major aggregates description, spec, make, qty, scope, and arrange vendor quotes (as backup document) and schematic of machine / equipment needed. Prepare and share offer/s with sales team based on standard margin Participate in call with customers to walk through offers Visit customer/s (if needed) to get clarity Arrange amendments to offers (if any) Guide vendor to route their material / invoices / challans Have technical discussions with customers & solve their queries to win their confidence Maintain database of all Project Offers submitted on monthly basis for future reference Periodic reviews of quotes to be arranged and quotes submitted. Participate in regular project review Work closely with sales team. Share costing file with Sales Director as and when needed for decision making. Periodic reporting. Pre-Order responsibilities: Participate in handover call post receipt of order and educate Project execution team / vendors for Concept Scope Likely scope Participate in DAP meetings and also prove out of machine at vendor end specially from electrical and PLC point of view. Resolving issues and raising red flags during project handling for integration Jobs Liaison with Integrators /Vendors for Project execution / Supporting the integrators teams with technical support and know-how for Apex Products while machine building Monitoring the installation and commissioning of Apex machines at the customer locations Quality checking of Machine & Panel building & Support in Programming activities Audits KEY DELIVERABLES: Precise costing files Precise offers clearly highlighting scope Generate and maintain estimated costing files (along with D and PM) Outsource 3D layout with help of Procurement Engineer as and when needed Regular reports, RFQ summary report on monthly basis providing trend Participate in prove out from Electrical / PLC perspective Do trouble shooting of machines under installation Adherence to Business Code of Practice Education & Skills Required: A Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Exposure to panel wiring, PLCs Trouble shooting Automation At Apex Tool Group ( we’re passionate about innovation.
