About the Role To lead, manage, and strengthen the organization’s ESG & Sustainability initiatives by driving compliance, reporting, climate strategy, carbon management, and stakeholder engagement. The role ensures alignment with Jindal Stainless Limited’s Net Zero 2050 roadmap, enhances ESG performance, supports sustainable product development, and positions the company as a global leader in responsible manufacturing. Strategic ESG Leadership - Drive ESG strategic direction. Support senior leadership in implementing ESG initiatives aligned with Net Zero 2050 roadmap. Responsibilities - Develop long-term sustainability strategies to enhance competitive advantage. - Conduct materiality assessments and ESG gap analysis. - Recommend continuous improvement actions across E, S, and G parameters. - Reporting & Compliance - Ensure accurate and compliant ESG disclosures. - Prepare and submit SEBI BRSR/BRSR Core, GRI reports, CDP (Climate/Water/Forests), DJSI, EcoVadis, Integrated Reports, and UNGC COP. - Monitor regulatory changes including CBAM, TCFD, EITI, Responsible Steel, CCTS. - Drive continuous improvement in disclosure quality and assurance readiness. - Carbon & Climate Management - Lead carbon accounting and decarbonization strategies. - Implement CCF & PCF studies as per ISO 14064/14067. - Manage GHG inventory (Scope 1, 2, 3) using GHG Protocol. - Conduct carbon modelling and climate risk assessments. - Develop and monitor decarbonization roadmaps initiatives. - Strengthen climate stress-testing and risk forecasts. - Life Cycle Assessment & Product Stewardship - Support sustainable product development. - Conduct LCAs using GaBi/SimaPro tools. - Manage Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certifications. - Enable development of low‑carbon stainless steel and circular economy initiatives. - Promote principles of recyclability and responsible sourcing. - Stakeholder Engagement & KPI Management - Manage ESG KPIs and stakeholder communication. - Develop and track ESG KPIs aligned with global best practices. - Coordinate ESG ratings, audits, investor queries, and stakeholder assessments. - Collaborate with departments for data management and KPI alignment. - Integrate customer ESG preferences into product and market strategy. - Supply Chain & Operational Integration - Enhance ESG performance across operations & supply chain. - Assess and mitigate supply chain ESG risks. - Integrate sustainability criteria into procurement/vendor assessments. - Manage ESG IT tools and digital tracking systems. - Governance & Risk Management - Strengthen ESG governance and enterprise risk systems. - Embed climate and ESG risks in enterprise risk management frameworks. - Lead change management processes incorporating ESG factors. - Develop climate risk audit programs and mitigation plans. - Awards & Recognition - Position company for sustainability leadership recognition. - Identify relevant sustainability awards and assessment criteria. - Coordinate preparation and submission of award applications.
