Safe Planet is hiring a talented Web Developer who lives at the intersection of beautiful design and clean, functional code. You’ll own the full development lifecycle: from crafting pixel-perfect WordPress sites to building custom front-end experiences and user journeys. What you’ll do: • Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (including themes, plugins, and custom post types) with a strong eye for UI/UX quality. • Build beautiful landing pages with custom user journeys (Forms, Lead Magnets). • Translate designs and wireframes into responsive, cross-browser-compatible web experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Partner with designers to ensure design intent is faithfully executed, pushing back constructively when something won’t work technically and proposing alternatives. • Optimize site performance, accessibility, and Technical SEO across projects. • Troubleshoot bugs, manage deployments, and maintain clean, documented codebases. What we’re looking for (Must-haves): • WordPress expertise: custom theme and plugin development, ACF, page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg), and site maintenance. • Strong UI/UX sensibility: you understand design principles, accessibility standards, and can identify when something looks or feels off. • 2–3+ years of professional experience as a web developer with a portfolio of live projects. • Solid command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, responsive design and mobile-first development are second nature. • Familiarity with PHP for WordPress back-end customization. • E-Commerce / Shopify experience. Nice-to-haves: - React or Vue.js / Node.js / Python / WooCommerce / Figma & Framer design tools / MySQL or MongoDB / SEO best practice
