With twelve hospitals and a workforce of over 8000+, Kauvery’s mission is to provide exemplary secondary and tertiary careOur VisionTo be the most respected and trusted healthcare providerOur MissionTo make great healthcare affordableOur Values- Continual Improvement- Heartfelt Personal Touch- Ethical- Empathetic Care- Real Accountability- Service ExcellenceJob Title: Hospital PharmacistDepartment: PharmacyReporting To: Pharmacy ManagerLocation: Kauvery Hospital, Trichy!Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified and experienced Hospital Pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience to ensure safe dispensing of medications, maintain pharmacy inventory, and support clinical teams in delivering quality patient care.Key Responsibilities:- Dispense medications accurately as per prescriptions- Review prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and contraindications- Maintain proper documentation and billing records- Ensure compliance with drug control regulations and hospital policies- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, expiry, and stock levels- Coordinate with nursing and medical teams regarding medication requirements- Provide patient counseling on drug usage and side effects- Maintain cold chain and storage conditions as per guidelines- Participate in NABH quality standards and audits (if applicable)- Handle emergency medication requirements- Assist in procurement and vendor coordinationQualifications:- D.Pharm / B.Pharm (Mandatory)- Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experienceRequired Skills:- Good knowledge of drugs, dosages, and hospital formulary- Strong attention to detail- Basic computer knowledge / Hospital Information System (HIS)- Good communication skills- Ability to work in rotational shiftsPreferred Skills:- Experience in multi-speciality hospital- Exposure to ICU / OT pharmacy- Knowledge of NABH documentation
