The Chinese Cook is responsible for preparing cooking and presenting authentic Chinese dishes ensuring consistency in taste presentation and quality The role requires expertise in Chinese cuisine including stir-frying steaming and wok cooking techniques while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes such as noodles fried rice dim sum soups sauces and stir-fried items Ensure food is prepared and presented according to standard recipes and hotel quality standards Maintain proper portion control and minimize food wastage Ensure all ingredients are fresh properly stored and available for daily operations Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly handled Assist in planning menus and daily specials in coordination with the Sous Chef Executive Chef Follow all food safety hygiene and sanitation procedures as per hotel standards Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff when required Ensure timely preparation and service during operational hours Report any maintenance or supply issues promptly to the kitchen supervisor or chef in charge Skills and Requirements Proven experience as a Chinese Cook or Commis specializing in Chinese cuisine Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking methods ingredients and sauces Ability to operate woks and other Chinese kitchen equipment efficiently Good sense of taste portion control and presentation Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment Team-oriented disciplined and punctual Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards Job Type Full-time Pay - per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Food provided Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
