Job Title: Manager – Sales (Utilities / Metering Solutions) Department: Sales & Business Development Industry: Meter Manufacturing (Electricity, Water, Gas, Smart Metering) Job Summary: The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key client relationships across utility sectors including electricity boards, water authorities, gas companies, and infrastructure projects. The role involves strategic planning, tender management, and leading sales operations for metering solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Business Development - Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. - Identify new business opportunities in government and private utility sectors. - Expand customer base across electricity, water, and gas utilities. - Promote smart metering, AMI/AMR solutions, and related technologies. 2. Key Account Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with DISCOMs, EPC contractors, and utility companies. - Manage long-term contracts and ensure customer satisfaction. - Act as the primary point of contact for major clients. 3. Tendering & Bidding - Handle end-to-end tendering processes (RFQs, RFPs, e-tenders). - Coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial proposals. - Analyze tender requirements and ensure compliance with specifications. 4. Market Intelligence - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. - Provide insights for product development and pricing strategies. 5. Team Management - Lead and mentor the sales team. - Set targets, track performance, and provide training/support. Key Skills & Competencies: - Strong knowledge of utility metering (electric, water, gas meters) - Experience in government tendering and GeM portal - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Strategic thinking and market analysis - Leadership and team management abilities - Understanding of smart metering technologies (AMI/AMR) Experience: - 8–15 years of experience in sales within meter manufacturing or utility industry - Proven track record in handling utility clients and large-scale projects Thanks, Aarti Saini hr.talent@
