For the first time, US businesses have an alternative to the traditional Agency model, and are now able to automate all aspects of a Search & Social marketing --from sales, deployment and account creation, to bidding and management—while still running high-quality, hyper-local campaignsAbout the Opportunity:We’re seeking a talented and experienced Growth Marketing Manager – Organic & AI Search to join our Bengaluru hub. In this role, you’ll manage and optimize SEO strategies, Local Listing Management (LLM), AI Optimization (AIO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for our managed services customers—ensuring high-quality search visibility, accuracy, and ROI across both traditional and AI-driven search ecosystems.You will lead efforts to improve organic search performance, optimize local listings across platforms like Google Business Profile, Yelp, and Bing Places, and enhance visibility on AI-powered search systems and generative engines. This includes optimizing for AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot), improving structured data relevance, and ensuring content is LLM-ready.This position requires hands-on experience with SEO tools, LLM tools, emerging AIO frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive measurable results for US-based clients.Key Responsibilities:Core SEO Strategy & Execution:Develop and lead SEO strategies across technical SEO, on-page optimization, off-page authority building, and content optimization.Conduct comprehensive site audits, keyword research, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth.Provide recommendations to improve site architecture, internal linking, content structure, crawlability, and indexation.Analyse SEO data and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies that improve rankings, traffic, and conversions.Lead technical SEO initiatives, including site performance improvements, Core Web Vitals, structured data implementation, and crawl diagnostics.Develop and execute link-building and authority development strategies to strengthen domain authority and organic visibility.Monitor search engine algorithm updates and proactively adjust SEO strategies as needed.Build and present SEO performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.Collaborate with marketing, paid media teams, and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into digital marketing initiatives.Set up pixels, events, and conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager.Local SEO & Listing Management:Manage and optimize local business listings across platforms, including Google Business Profile, Yelp, Facebook, Bing Places, Apple Maps, and other directories.Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across all listings and citation platforms.Conduct regular local listing audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Implement strategies to improve local search rankings, map pack visibility, and location-based discoverability.Support and guide review management strategies to strengthen brand reputation and customer engagement.Coordinate with internal teams to update listings when new locations, services, or promotions are launched.Track and report on local listing performance, visibility metrics, and engagement trends.AI & Generative Search Optimization (AIO/GEO) Responsibilities:Optimize client content and digital assets for discoverability across AI-driven search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity AI, and Google AI Overviews.Implement SEO frameworks that improve entity recognition, topical authority, and structured content visibility within AI-generated responses.Ensure website content is structured for machine readability, semantically organized, and optimized for generative search environments.Optimize schema markup, structured data, and knowledge graph signals to enhance search engine understanding.Develop content formats such as structured FAQs, expert insights, and fact-based content blocks designed for AI summarization.Ensure content aligns with E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).Conduct periodic AI search visibility audits to identify opportunities for improved presence in generative search experiences.Monitor emerging trends in AI-powered search and generative SERP features and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies.Team Leadership & Collaboration:Manage and mentor one direct report initially, with the opportunity to help scale and lead a larger SEO team over time.Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance for SEO deliverables, including audits, reporting, and optimization recommendations.Help prioritize workloads, delegate tasks, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule.Support the hiring, onboarding, and development of additional SEO team members as the team grows.Establish and maintain SEO best practices, workflows, and documentation to improve team efficiency and consistency.Work closely with client services and web development teams to ensure SEO strategies align with broader digital marketing and paid media initiatives.Collaborate with Account Management teams to provide strategic insights to ensure SEO, AIO, and LLM strategies are clearly communicated to clients, aligned with client goals, and effectively integrated into overall account strategy.Requirements:10+ years of experience in a digital performance agency or similar role focused on SEO and local search.Expertise in SEO, Local Listing Management, and strong familiarity with AIO/GEO concepts.Proven experience in technical SEO, web architecture, on page optimization, and link-building.Strong knowledge of SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.Familiarity with local listing platforms such as Google Business Profile, Yelp, Bing Places, and related directories.Experience in local listing & review management tools (good to have).Experience in AIO & GEO optimization platform (good to have).Strong experience in Google Tag Manager tracking & GA4.Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and ability to clearly communicate with web developers.Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills.Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex digital marketing data (SEO, AI-driven search, LLM
